iSWOOP

In my time at ASAP Media Services, I contributed to a branch of an ongoing national project called iSWOOP – Interpreters and Scientists Working On Our Parks. Focusing on the needs and pre-existing work of the nearby Acadia National Park rangers and interpreters, I helped to create a series of illustrations, 3D graphics, animations, and a virtual reality simulation for use by Acadia rangers in educating and working with park visitors. Together with the project’s team at ASAP, I created the graphics and animations seen below, which have seen further iteration among the rest of the team and release in what we called a “visual library” for park rangers and interpreters to pull media from in their outreach work.

Some of the team’s work, including these visuals and more, can already be found in the regular presentations hosted by park rangers in Acadia.
