Writing Creatively

I've had a vivid imagination for as long as I can remember. As a kid, sometimes I would just be in the backseat of a car or lying in bed giving myself goosebumps over some crazy new story I envisioned in my mind. I could bring myself to tears or into a fit of joy or rage just by imagining the feelings or the words or actions of someone totally made up in my head. I needed some way to share these emotions, these worlds with others, and writing was the first medium I realized I could do this in. In all my writing, I want to convey something found in my imagination or in my life that might make another person feel something profound, something they will remember. This creative desire would later expand to my pursuit of New Media, but I think there's something pure, simple, and powerful about words on a page. Here is a small selection of some of my latest works.

The Maine Journal

The Maine Journal is an undergraduate run website from the University of Maine and ASAP Media Services focusing on the stories of exceptional undergraduate students and their work. The site publishes multimedia stories according to what is best suited per featured student.

I worked for two years (2016-2018) as a lead editor, videographer, photographer, and writer on the Maine Journal, working on the project in all of its stages from pre to post-production. A collection of some of my video work, audio and image processing, and writing can be found among the stories in that period and in some revisions of older stories at:
