The X-ray Hand
The X-Ray Hand is an interactive exhibit proposed to the Maine Discovery Museum in Bangor, ME. Andrew Kolbjornsen and myself worked together to create a fun, interactive demonstration of x-ray analysis: a box in which children (or any other user) may insert their hand and see a realtime “x-ray” of their hand (a simulated 3D model view of a hand and arm’s skeletal structure). This prototype was chosen among a series of competing proposals to be fully developed as a new exhibit.
The video below includes a synopsis and demonstration of the project as it was presented to the children’s museum.
